PRM Engineering Showcases Automatic Braking
and Pedestrian Recognition Systems
at the Downer Road Show

PRM Engineering has once again been showcasing a world first, in the combination of our Automatic Braking and Pedestrian Recognition systems, on show during the Downer Roads Annual Safety roadshows in Adelaide & Canberra.

Having previously worked with Downer on infra-red based pedestrian safety systems, Downer is again working with PRM to assess our next generation of technology - an artificial intelligence based pedestrian recognition system.

The Sentinel Vision AI pedestrian recognition system provides early warning to pedestrians by way of audible and voice alarms - while the radar system automatically brakes the machine if a pedestrian or object is detected while reversing. The below images and videos show these systems in operation.

With Sentinel Vision AI being adopted by several large Tier 1 companies across construction, rail, roads and waste sectors - Including Downer, Holcim, Suez & Queensland Rail - PRM Engineering continues to deliver world firsts in safety system design and implementation across our innovative product range.

With increasing pressure being placed on organisations to implement engineered safety solutions where plant and pedestrians share the same space, PRM has received an enormous amount of interest from these organisations in recent months.

Industry and legislation is now placing significant emphasis on pedestrian safety, early warning and collision avoidance in heavy industry environments - and PRM continues to use our industry experience and safety system design capabilities to deliver innovative safety systems with a reputation of being reliable, intuitive and easy to use. .

Another PRM innovation, another world first!
